Deze plugin maakt een (standaard) pagina aan op je eigen WordPress website. Deze pagina kun je vervolgens inrichten en wordt weergegeven in de WordPress Dashboard views van de gekoppelde websites. De plugin berekent zelf de hoogte van het welkomsboxje in de WordPress Dashboard view van je klanten.
Ondanks dat deze plugin ook standalone werkt is hij ontworpen om samen te werken met de plugin RBS Remote Dashboard Welcome.
Voor wie is deze Remote Dashboard WordPress Plugin bedoeld?
De plugin is bedoeld voor WordPress webdesigners en developers die WordPress als extra communicatiekanaal naar hun klanten willen gebruiken. Met het remote dashboard kun je al je (actieve) klanten in 1 keer op de hoogte stellen van nieuws, tips over WordPress, updates van je bedrijf of nieuwe aanbiedingen doen. Het onderhouden van deze pagina is ook heel gemakkelijk omdat het een standaard WordPress pagina is. Je kunt dus gewoon via je eigen back-end deze pagina aanpassen.
Waarom een Plugin?
We hebben deze plugin in eerste instantie voor onszelf geschreven. Wij gebruiken hem om onze klanten ook via de back-end van hun eigen website aan te spreken en te helpen bij het onderhoud van hun website. Omdat WordPress een open-source CMS is en wij graag een bijdrage leveren aan deze community hebben we de RBS Remote Dashboard Plugin beschikbaar gemaakt voor iedereen en hem gratis gedeeld met de WordPress community.

What is the purpose of this plugin?
Communicate with your clients right from their own WordPress Dashboard!
This plugin creates a (standard WordPress) page on your WP installation. It communicates the contents and layout (height etc.) to a remote page (typically a clients WP Dashboard page). The main purpose is to be able to show all your clients the same dashboard welcome message, while you’re still able to update the contents of the page on your own website.
While it works without it, it is designed to work in conjunction with the module RBS Remote Dashboard Welcome.
Who is the Remote Dashboard Plugin for?
This plugin is targeted towards WordPress webdesigners and developers who would like to add WordPress to their communication channels. Via the Remote Dashboard you can automatically keep your clients up to date about your latest news, products & more whenever they log-in to their website. And it’s really easy to maintain this page because you can edit it right from your own WordPress admin website!
Why a Plugin?
At first we developed this plug-in just for our own company. We use it to help & support our clients while they are updating and maintaining their own websites. While we were in the development process we decided this would be an awesome chance to contribute to the WordPress community and so we made it available for everyone.
